The CBA Jazz Series
The CBA Jazz Series was founded in 2012 by Joe Tort, Class of 1976, and his wife Miriam to promote and financially support the Performing Arts Program at Christian Brothers Academy by bringing the best of world-class, contemporary jazz artists and composers to the intimate Henderson Theatre stage located on CBA’s campus. This annual event includes opening act performances by The CBA Jazz Ensemble, our student jazz band. The highlight of the event is when the artist joins the ensemble onstage during their opening act to collaborate on jazz standards and the artist’s own compositions giving our students a heightened stage experience like no other school in the area.
