The CBA Scholarship Initiative

Named Endowed Scholarships

A named endowed scholarship is a permanent legacy of support for future
generations of CBA students. An endowment may be established with a single
outright gift, a gift fulfilled in installments over five years, or a deferred (estate) gift.
Once the endowment is fully funded, a portion of its earnings each year provides for
scholarship support, while the principal is retained in perpetuity for future growth.

Endowed Partial Scholarship (Unrestricted Eligibility)
MINIMUM ENDOWMENT $25,000
An endowment of $25,000 will provide an ongoing annual scholarship funded by the interest
earned by the endowment. By electing to establish an endowment with unrestricted eligibility,
a donor grants CBA the flexibility to award scholarship funding to deserving, qualified
students as needed.

Endowed Partial Scholarship (Specified Eligibility)
MINIMUM ENDOWMENT $50,000
With a scholarship funded at this level, donors who wish to do so may work with, the
advancement office to structure the scholarship in accordance with their own philanthropic
interests. Donors may choose, for example, whether to support a different student each year,
or to support individual students through their four years at CBA. Eligibility criteria may include
academic achievement, financial need, community service, or demographic characteristics.

Endowed Full Scholarship
MINIMUM ENDOWMENT $350,000
Donors who would like to name an endowed scholarship that covers the full tuition, books, and
fees of an individual student may select this option. Donors who wish to do so may work with
the advancement office to structure the scholarship in accordance with their own philanthropic
interests. Donors may choose, for example, whether to support a different student each year, or to
support individual students through their four years at CBA.  Eligibility criteria may include academic
achievement, financial need, community service, or demographic characteristics.
