Math Team
The Math Team facilitates students’ love for mathematics through a fun, competitive environment.
The team typically participates in three ongoing tournaments throughout the school year, in addition to two single-event competitions. Each November, the CBA team hosts a Shore League math event in the cafeteria against other schools. Within the team, there is an intramural competition for friendly bragging rights.
This past year, the team placed first in their region for the New Jersey State League.
The team is split into varsity and JV level. Both levels meet at least once per schedule cycle. Additional practices for the varsity members may be added prior to competitions. The upperclassmen may be named co-captains of the team during their senior year. Students must attend 80 percent of club meetings to be considered in good standing. Mr. Reagan has served as Math Team coach for the past nine years.
