Lasallian Youth

Inspired by the vision of St. John Baptist de La Salle, Lasallian Youth carries forward a tradition of service, compassion, and spiritual growth.

La Salle deeply cared for the young people of his time and encouraged his followers to support one another. His students shared their resources, helped one another learn, and stood in solidarity with those most in need.

The Lasallian Youth movement began in Spain in the 1960s and has since grown worldwide. CBA’s chapter, founded in 2001, continues this legacy by combining service and prayerful action.

Lasallian Youth invites students to live their faith through meaningful outreach. Members prepare and serve meals to the hungry, tutor younger students in after-school programs, organize food and clothing drives, collect donations for mission efforts, participate in prayer groups and liturgies, and make and deliver sandwiches to those in need in Asbury Park.

The group is open to all students, and to be considered members in good standing, students are expected to complete six hours of service across at least two different activities. Lasallian Youth meets once a month on the first Tuesday, both before and after school.

Through these commitments of faith and service, CBA students embody the mission of St. John Baptist de La Salle, bringing hope and help to those who need it most.
