CBA Music Program

Modern Band is a course designed to function as an advanced small music ensemble. This group explores high-level music of various styles and focuses on improvisation and ear-training to help guide rehearsals. In addition, the course explores topics in music industry, music business, technology, and group leadership. This is a Period 0 Course.

Jazz Ensemble is open to any and all instrumentalists enrolled in classes at CBA. The group will explore all styles of music- Jazz, Rock, Funk, Latin, and Big Band- with a focus on performance, improvisation, and composition. This is a Period 0 course.

Men's Choir is a vocal ensemble that performs a wide range of choral music, from classical to contemporary. The group focuses on developing vocal technique, musicality, and teamwork, while providing opportunities to perform at school events, concerts, and competitions. This group is open to any and all students and meets after school twice per week.

Music Ministry is a vocal ensemble open to all students and will be responsible for providing music at all liturgies and prayer services. This group meets during choir after school.

Pep Band is a Rock ensemble that plays at various CBA Colts basketball games throughout the winter season. This group meets during Enrichment.

The Pipes and Drums ensemble is a traditional music group featuring bagpipers and drummers. The ensemble performs Scottish and Celtic music, showcasing precision, rhythm, and cultural heritage at school and community events, parades, and competitions.

The Pit Orchestra is an award winning group that provides music for the spring musical and is an auditioned ensemble. This group will work closely with the Pegasus Production Company and will have a regular rehearsal schedule established from December-March.

Rock Band is open to any and all instrumentalists and vocalists enrolled in classes at CBA. The group will explore a variety of genres centered around rock and pop, with a focus on performance, stage presence, improvisation, and arranging. This is a Period 0 course. 

Chamber Music is small group instrumental or vocal music. This new group aims to create things like brass ensemble, saxophone ensemble, string ensemble, solos, duos, and trios focusing on diverse  repertoire. This group meets by appointment during Period 0.

The Tri-M Music Honor Society, a program of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), is an international honor society that celebrates student musicians in middle and high school. It recognizes excellence in music, academics, and leadership, while encouraging members to use their talents to serve their schools and communities through music-related service projects and events.
