2019-2020 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Welcome to the Class of 2023! The scholarships on this page are for future CBA freshman and we are excited to help you explore your options as you look forward to becoming a part of our community.

The scholarships below are available for the 2019-2020 school year. We invite you to click on the appropriate link to learn more and determine which scholarships you may be eligible for.  Please read the criteria fully to determine if you may be eligible before applying.  A student may apply for as many scholarships as he chooses and for which he is eligible, but no student will be awarded more than one direct application scholarship. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

You may apply for the following scholarships by sending an email to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org.

All supplemental materials (letters of recommendation, proof of service, portfolio materials, and performance videos) must be emailed to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org with applicant last name and names of scholarships being applied for in the subject line.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Letters of recommendation and proof of service must come directly from the person providing the recommendation or the proof of service.

Any family applying for a financial need-based scholarship must submit the financial aid application through FACTS Management in order to be considered.

Please note that the list below has been updated from the Scholarship Handout distributed at our Open House on October 14 to allow for a greater number of scholarships to serve the incoming Class of 2023.

Class of 2023 Scholarships

  • The Christian Brothers Lincroft Endowed Scholarship

    Eligibility: Incoming freshmen in the 2019/2020 school year 

    Founded by the De La Salle Christian Brothers Community in Lincroft, this full tuition scholarship will be based on the applicant’s academic record, financial need, completed application with essay (essay topic will be available when application period opens), and a letter of personal recommendation from a representative of the candidate’s middle school.

    This scholarship is renewable for three additional years provided that the student maintains an overall GPA of 80.

    The application period for this scholarship opens on December 31, 2018 and closes on January 24, 2019

  • The Conte First Generation American Scholarship

    Eligibility: Incoming freshmen in the 2019/ 2020 school year 

    Founded by J.P. Conte ’81, this full scholarship is designated for a student who has self-identified as an immigrant or a child or immigrant parents.  The completed application includes a letter of recommendation on the applicant’s personal character from a representative of the candidate’s middle school and documented evidence of financial need.

    This scholarship is renewable for three additional years provided the the student maintains an overall GPA of 80.

    The application period for this scholarship opens on December 31, 2018 and closes on January 24, 2019.

     

  • Community Service Scholarships

    Eligibility: Incoming freshmen for the 2019/ 2020 school year

    APPLICATION PERIOD OPENS DECEMBER 31, 2018 AND CLOSES JANUARY 24, 2019.

    Required Essay (500 word limit):

    This scholarship is awarded for “Community Service.”  Based on your relevant experiences, how do you define the term “Community Service” and what has this idea meant to your life?

    Please attach your essay to your submission email sent to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org; the title of the document should include your last name and “Community Service.”

    Required Community Service:

    Please send evidence of a minimum of 40 hours spent in service to the community in the 2018 calendar year to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org.   Evidence must be sent directly by the person providing the evidence; the title of this file should include the applicant’s last name and “Community Service.”

    Applicants will be eligible for the following two scholarships:

    The Cartier Family Scholarship for Community Service 

    Founded by Mark and Stephanie Cartier,  this $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman who has demonstrated a selfless love of his community.  The complete application includes an essay, documented evidence of a minimum of 40 hours spent in service to the community in the calendar year 2018, and documented evidence of financial need.

    This $2,500 scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/ 2020 school year.

    The William and Kathryn Dodge Family Endowed Scholarship for Community Service

    Founded by Bill and Kathy Dodge, this $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a qualified incoming freshman who strives for a CBA education and has demonstrated a selfless love of his community.  The complete application includes an essay, documented evidence of a minimum of 40 hours spent in service to the community in the calendar year 2018, and documented evidence of financial need.

    This $2,500 scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/ 2020 school year.

     

     

  • Academic Merit Scholarships
    Eligibility: Incoming freshmen for the 2019/ 2020 school year
    APPLICATION PERIOD OPENS DECEMBER 31, 2018 AND CLOSES JANUARY 24, 2019.

    Required Essay (500 word limit):

    The Academy Oath states that CBA students will “strive for wisdom in our pursuit of knowledge.”  What does this mean to you and how do you plan to achieve this as a CBA student?

    Please attach your essay to your submission email sent to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org; the title of the document should include your last name and “Academic Merit.”

    Applicants will be eligible for the following scholarship:

    The Brother Bernard A. McKenna FSC Memorial Scholarship for Academic Merit
    This $2,500 scholarship, endowed by Patrick Thornton ’71, is in memory of CBA’s first principal, Brother A. Bernard McKenna.  This scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman with documented financial need who has demonstrated overall outstanding academic success.  The complete application includes the essay above.
    This scholarship is renewable for three additional years provided that the recipient maintains an overall GPA of 80.
  • Christian Leadership Scholarships

    Eligibility: Incoming freshmen in the 2019/ 2020 school year

    APPLICATION PERIOD OPENS DECEMBER 31, 2018 AND CLOSES JANUARY 24, 2019.

    Required Essay (500 word limit):

    This scholarship is awarded for “Christian Leadership.”  Based on your relevant experiences, how do you define the term “Christian leader” and why do you consider yourself to be one?

    Please have a letter(s) verifying your involvement as in Christian Leadership activities sent to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org.  This letter must be sent directly by the person providing the evidence; the title of this file should include the applicant’s last name and “Christian Leadership.”

    Applicants will be eligible for the following scholarship:

    The Thomas J. DeFelice ’70 Memorial Scholarship for Christian Leadership

    Founded in honor of Thomas J. DeFelice by his brother Paul, this $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman who has demonstrated superior Christian Leadership.  The completed application includes an essay, documented evidence of Christian Leadership, and documented evidence of financial need.

    This scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/ 2020 school year.

     

     

  • Scholarship for members of the Boy Scouts of America

    APPLICATION PERIOD OPENS DECEMBER 31, 2018 AND CLOSES JANUARY 24, 2019.

    Required Essay (500 word limit):

    Based on your relevant experiences in the Boy Scouts of America, how do you define the term “leader” and why do you consider yourself to be one?

    Please attach your essay to your submission email sent to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org; the title of the document should include your last name and “Boy Scouts.”

    Please have a letter(s) verifying your involvement as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America sent to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org.  This letter must be sent directly by the person providing the evidence; the title of this file should include the applicant’s last name and “Boy Scouts.”

    Applicants will be eligible for the following scholarship:

    The Mothers Club Endowed Scholarship for members of the Boy Scouts of America

    Founded by the CBA Mothers Club, this $2,000 endowed scholarship will be awarded to a student who has demonstrated leadership as a member of the Boy Scouts of America and will be based on the student’s academic record, financial need, completed application with essay, and a letter of personal recommendation from a representative of the Boy Scouts.

    This scholarship is renewable for three additional years provided that the recipient maintains an overall GPA of 80.

  • Scholarships for Excellence in Science and Technology

    Eligibility: Incoming freshmen for the 2019/ 2020 school year

    APPLICATION PERIODS OPENS DECEMBER 31, 2018 AND CLOSES JANUARY 24, 2019.

    Required Essay (500 word limit):

    Please discuss the most important discovery or research conducted since the year 2000.  How has it/will it directly impact your life and what would you like to do to contribute to further research?

    Please attach your essay to your submission email sent to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org; the title of the document should include your last name and “Science/Tech.” In addition, provide evidence/summary of a science/ technology project you completed in the 2018 calendar year.

    Please attach your evidence as a word or video file to your submission email; the title of the file should include your last name and “Science/Tech.”

    Please have a Middle School science teacher send a letter of recommendation on your behalf to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org.  The letter of recommendation must be sent directly by the person providing the recommendation; the title of this file should include the applicant’s last name and “Science/Tech.”

    Applicants will be eligible for the following three scholarships:

    The James and Lucia Ham Family Scholarship for Science and Technology

    Founded by Lucia Ham, this $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman who has demonstrated a talent for critical thought and creativity in science and technology. The completed application includes an essay, a letter of recommendation from a Science teacher who taught the candidate in middle school, and documented evidence of a science/ technology project completed in the calendar year 2018.

    This $2,000 scholarship is renewable for three additional years provided that the student maintains a GPA in science of 80 and demonstrates continued involvement with the CBA science program.  The winner will be invited to sit for the CBA AP Biology placement exam for freshmen.

    The Brother Patrick Higgins FSC Memorial Scholarship for Science and Technology

    Founded in memory of Brother Patrick Higgins FSC, this $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman who has demonstrated a talent for critical thought and creativity in science and technology. The completed application includes an essay, a letter of recommendation from a Science teacher who taught the candidate in middle school, and documented evidence of a science/ technology project completed in the calendar year 2018.

    This $2,500 scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/ 2020 school year.  The winner will be invited to sit for the CBA AP Biology placement exam for freshmen.

    The John Vickers ’82 Memorial Scholarship for Science and Technology

    Founded by Peter and Carmel Vickers, in loving memory of their son John Vickers ’82, this $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman who has demonstrated a talent for critical thought and creativity in science and technology. The completed application includes an essay, a letter of recommendation from a Science teacher who taught the candidate in middle school, and documented evidence of a science/ technology project completed in the calendar year 2018.

    This $2,500 scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/ 2020 school year.  The winner will be invited to sit for the CBA AP Biology placement exam for freshmen.

     

     

     

     

     

  • Scholarship for Excellence in Social Sciences

    Eligibility: Incoming freshmen in the 2019/ 2020 school year

    APPLICATION PERIOD OPENS DECEMBER 31, 2018 AND CLOSES JANUARY 24, 2019.

    Required Essay (500 word limit): 

    Please discuss the most important discovery, research, or event in the social sciences since the year 2000.  How has it/ will it directly impact your life and what would you like to do to contribute to further research or discovery?

    Please attach your essay to your submission email sent to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org; the title of the document should include your last name and “Social Sciences.”

    Please have a Middle School social studies teacher send a letter of recommendation on your behalf to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org.  The letter of recommendation must be sent directly by the person providing the recommendation; the title of this file should include the applicant’s last name and “Social Sciences.”

    Applicants will be eligible for the following scholarship:

    The Brother Cyril O’Neill FSC Memorial Scholarship for Social Sciences

    Founded in memory of Brother Cyril O’Neill FSC, this $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman who has demonstrated a talent in critical thought and creativity in the social sciences (history, geography, social studies, economics, psychology).  The completed application includes an essay and a letter of recommendation from a Social Studies teacher who taught the candidate in middle school.

    This scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/ 2020 school year.

     

  • Scholarships for Excellence in the Performing Arts

    Eligibility:  Incoming freshmen for the 2019/ 2020 school year

    APPLICATION PERIOD OPENS DECEMBER 31, 2018 AND CLOSES JANUARY 24, 2019

    Please attach ONE video of a live performance in the performing arts before an audience.

    Please attach your file to your submission email addressed to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org; the title of the file should include your last name and “Performing Arts.”

    Applicants will be eligible for the following three scholarships:

    The Sheridan Family Scholarship for Performing Arts

    Founded by Terrence and Mary Sheridan, this $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman who has demonstrated an exceptional talent in the performing arts and an interest in pursuing the performing arts at CBA.  The completed application will include a video of a representative performance in the performing arts and documented evidence of financial need.  Videos will be uploaded as part of the scholarship application.

    This scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/ 2020 school year.

    The Brother Joseph Miggins, FSC Memorial Scholarship for Performing Arts

    Founded by Joseph ’76 and Miriam Tort, and supported by family and friends of the Torts, in memory of Brother Joseph Miggins FSC a beloved supporter of the performing arts at CBA, this $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman who has demonstrated an exceptional talent in the performing arts and an interest in pursuing the performing arts at CBA.  The completed application will include a video of a representative performance in the performing arts and documented evidence of financial need.  Videos will be uploaded as part of the scholarship application.

    This scholarship is renewable for three years provided that the recipient maintains an overall GPA of 80, actively participates in the performing arts in each of his years, and continues to provide evidence of financial need.

    The James L. Schwartz ’70 Scholarship for Performing Arts

    Founded by Jon ’72 and Jane Schwartz in loving memory of James Schwartz ’70, this $1,000 endowed scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman who has demonstrated an exceptional talent in the performing arts and an interest in pursuing the performing arts at CBA.  The completed application will include a video of a representative performance in the performing arts and documented evidence of financial need.  Videos will be uploaded as part of the scholarship application.

    This scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/ 2020 school year.

     

     

     

  • Scholarship for Excellence in Creative Writing

    Eligibility: Incoming freshmen for the 2019/ 2020 school year

    APPLICATION PERIOD OPENS DECEMBER 31, 2018 AND CLOSES JANUARY 24, 2019.

    Please attach between THREE and FIVE samples of your creative writing in an email sent to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org; the titles of the files should include your last name and “Creative Writing.”

    Please have a letter of recommendation regarding the applicant’s writing abilities sent to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org.  The letter of recommendation must be sent directly by the person providing the recommendation; the title of this file should include the applicant’s last name and “Creative Writing.”

    Applicants will be eligible for the following scholarship:

    The R. Scott Garley ’74 Endowed Scholarship for Creative Writing

    Founded by Scott Garley ’74, this $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman in the 2019/ 2020 school year based on documented financial need and the student’s demonstration of high proficiency in creative writing.  The application will include a portfolio of no fewer than three and no more than five examples of the student’s creative writing.  The completed application will also include a recommendation of the student’s creative writing ability and evidence of financial need.

    This scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/ 2020 school year.

     

  • Scholarship for work accomplished in Student Publications

    Eligibility: Incoming freshmen for the 2019/ 2020 school year

    APPLICATION PERIOD OPENS DECEMBER 31, 2018 AND CLOSES JANUARY 24, 2019.

    Please attach between THREE and FIVE samples of your work on a student publication in an email sent to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org; the titles of the files should include your last name and “Student Publications.”

    Please have a letter of recommendation regarding the applicant’s involvement in student publications sent to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org.  The letter of recommendation must be sent directly by the person providing the recommendation; the title of this file should include the applicant’s last name and “Student Publications.”

    Applicants will be eligible for the following scholarship:

    The Brother Basilian O’Connor FSC Memorial Scholarship for work in Student Publications

    Founded in memory of Brother Basilian O’Connor FSC,  this $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman in the 2019/ 2020 school year who has done exceptional work on a middle school student publication (newspaper, yearbook, literary journal, etc.) and will be based on financial need, completed application with essay, and a letter of personal recommendation from a student publications moderator at the student’s middle school.  The application will include a sampling of the student’s work from the publication.

    This scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/ 2020 school year.

     

     

     

  • Scholarship for students attending a Catholic Middle School

    Required Essay (500 word limit):

    What was the one thing that you learned in your time at a Catholic middle school that you think will be most valuable to you as a CBA student?

    Please attach your essay to your submission email sent to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org. The title of the document should include your last name and “Attardi.”

    Please have letters of recommendation sent to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org. Letters must be sent directly from the person providing the recommendations; the title of this file should include the applicant’s last name and “Letter Attardi.”

    The Attardi Family Scholarship

    Founded by members of the Attardi family — William V. Attardi, William S. Attardi ’82, Marc Attardi ’85, and David Attardi ’90, this $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to a student in the CBA Class of 2023.  The completed application includes an essay, evidence of financial need, and a letter of personal recommendation from a representative of the candidate’s middle school.

    This scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/ 2020 school year.

  • Scholarships for Well-Rounded Achievement

    Eligibility: Incoming freshmen for the 2019/ 2020 school year

    APPLICATION PERIOD OPENS DECEMBER 31, 2018 AND CLOSES JANUARY 24, 2019.

    Required Essay (500 word limit):

    What will your classmates say about you at your 25th CBA reunion?

    Please attach your essay to your submission email sent to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org; the title of the document should include your last name and “General.”

    Please have a representative of your middle school send letter of recommendation to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org.  Letter of recommendation must be sent directly by the person providing the recommendation; the title of this file should include the applicant’s last name and “General.”

    Applicants will be eligible for the following scholarships:

    The Joseph Burke ’65 Memorial Endowed Scholarship 

    Founded by OceanFirst Bank in memory of dedicated and esteemed employee, Joseph Burke ‘65, this $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student in the CBA Class of 2023.  The completed application requires an essay, documented evidence of financial need, and a letter of personal recommendation from a representative of the candidate’s middle school.

    This scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/2020 school year.

    The Leonard ’79 and Lauren Gorski Endowed Scholarship

    Founded by Leonard ’79 and Lauren Gorski, this $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student in the CBA Class of 2023.  The completed application requires an essay, evidence of financial need, and a letter of personal recommendation from a representative of the candidate’s middle school.

    This scholarship is renewable for three years provided the student maintains an overall GPA of 80.

    The Gregory Henderson ’70 Memorial Endowed Scholarship

    Founded in loving memory of Gregory Henderson ’70 by his father Charles F. Henderson II, this $4,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student in the CBA Class of 2023. The completed application requires an essay.

    This scholarship is renewable provided the student maintains an overall GPA of 80.

    The William J. Johnson ’89 Memorial Scholarship

    Founded by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ziola ’73 in loving memory of William Johnson ’89, this $1,500 scholarship is awarded to a student in the CBA Class of 2023.  The completed application requires an essay, evidence of financial need, and a letter of personal recommendation from a representative of the candidate’s middle school.

    This scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/ 2020 school year.

    The Brother Henry McGrath FSC Memorial Scholarship

    Founded in memory of Brother Henry McGrath FSC, this $2,500 scholarship is awarded to a student in the CBA Class of 2023.  The completed application requires an essay, evidence of financial need, and a letter of personal recommendation from a representative of the candidate’s middle school.

    This scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/ 2020 school year.

    The Robert ’00 and Jacqueline Russo Scholarship

    Founded by Robert ’00 and Jacqueline Russo, this $2,500 scholarship is awarded to a student in the CBA Class of 2023.  The completed application requires an essay, evidence of financial need, and a letter of personal recommendation from a representative of the candidate’s middle school.

    This scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/ 2020 school year.

    The Jack Scherer Memorial Scholarship

    This $2,500 scholarship was created to honor Jack Scherer who passed away on January 16, 2016.  In memory of his strength, courage, compassion, and love for CBA and hockey, the fund supports like-minded students who aspire to an education that is beyond the reach of the family’s financial capacity.  This scholarship is awarded to a student in the CBA Class of 2023.  The completed application requires an essay, evidence of financial need, and a letter of personal recommendation from a representative of the candidate’s middle school.

    This scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/ 2020 school year.

    The Patricia Tracey Memorial Scholarship

    Founded in loving memory of former CBA teacher Patricia Tracey, this $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to a student in the CBA Class of 2023.  The completed application includes an essay, evidence of financial need, and a letter of personal recommendation from a representative of the candidate’s middle school.

    This scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/ 2020 school year.

     

     

     

     

     

     

  • St. Leo the Great Alumni Scholarship

    Eligibility: Incoming freshmen for the 2019/ 2020 year

    APPLICATION PERIOD OPENS JANUARY 1, 2018 AND CLOSES JANUARY 19, 2018

    Required Essay (500 word limit):

    What was the one thing that you learned as a member of St. Leo’s school that you think will be most valuable to you as a CBA student?

    Please attach your essay to your submission email sent to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org; the title of the document should include your last name and “Doehner.”

    Applicants will be eligible for the following scholarship:

    The Kathleen Doehner Endowed Memorial Scholarship

    Founded in memory of longtime St Leo’s benefactor and CBA Board of Trustee member Kathleen Doehner, this $2,500 will be awarded to a student currently enrolled in St. Leo’s Parish in Lincroft. The completed application requires an essay.

    This $2,500 scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/2020 school year.

     

  • St. Catharine and St. Margaret's Parish of Spring Lake Scholarship

    Eligibility: Incoming freshmen in the 2019/ 2020 school year

    APPLICATION PERIOD OPENS DECEMBER 31, 2018 AND CLOSES JANUARY 24, 2019.

    Required Essay (500 word limit):

    What is one thing that you have learned in your time as a member of St. Catharine’s or St. Margaret’s parish that you think will be most valuable to you as a CBA student?

    Please attach your essay to your submission email sent to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org; the title of the document should include your last name and “Herbermann.”

    Please have two letters of personal recommendation sent to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org.  The letters of recommendation must be sent directly by the person providing the recommendation; the title of this file should include your last name and “Herbermann.”

    Applicants will be eligible for the following scholarship:

    The Laura Lovering Herbermann Memorial Scholarship

    Founded by Chuck Herbermann in loving memory of Laura Lovering Herbermann, this $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled at St. Catherine’s Middle School in Spring Lake, NJ, or who is a member of either St. Catharine or St. Margaret’s parishes. The completed application includes an essay and a letter of personal recommendation. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate Christian Service and who have served as altar boys.

    This $2,500 scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/2020 school year.

     

  • Enduring Hardship Scholarships

    Eligibilty: Incoming freshman for the 2019/2020 year

    APPLICATION PERIOD OPENS DECEMBER 31, 2018 AND CLOSES JANUARY 24, 2019.

    Required Essay (500 word limit):

    One of the key principles of a CBA education is this: Life-long learning is essential for success in a changing society.

    Discuss your views on this principle, including an example(s) of the sort of changes in society for which your CBA education can prepare you.

    Please attach your essay to your submission email sent to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org; the title of the document should include your last name and “Enduring.”

    In addition, please include a brief explanation of the manner in which your immediate family has been affected by cancer; the title of this document should include the applicant’s last name and “Enduring.”

    The Daniel Censullo ’84 Memorial Scholarship

    Founded by Mr. and Mrs. Daniel J. Censullo, this $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student who has an immediate family member affected by cancer. The completed application requires an essay and evidence of financial need.

    This scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/2020 school year.

     

  • The Folded Flag Scholarship

    Eligibility: Incoming freshmen in the 2019/2020 school year

    APPLICATION PERIOD OPENS DECEMBER 31, 2018 AND CLOSES JANUARY 24, 2019.

    Founded by the Folded Flag Foundation, this full tuition scholarship is awarded to a student who has lost a family member while deployed in combat. Eligible recipients must be the child of a member of the U.S. military or an employee of the U.S. government who has died as a result of hostile action or in an accident related to U.S. combat operations.

    This scholarship is renewable for three additional years provided that the student maintains a GPA of 80%

  • The Academy Oath Scholarship

    Eligibility: Incoming freshman in the 2019/ 2020 school year

    Required Essay (500 word limit):

    The Academy Oath says that CBA students will do the following:

    Live lives of honor and integrity,

    Serve and stand for those in need,

    Strive for wisdom in the pursuit of knowledge.

    Pick one of these three ideals and explain why it is of personal importance to your future as you prepare to be a student at Christian Brothers Academy.

    Please attach your essay to your submission email sent to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org; the title of the document should include your last name and “Academy Oath.”

    Applicants will be eligible for the following scholarship:

    The McLaughlin Family Endowed Scholarship for the Academy Oath

    Founded by John and Susan McLaughlin, this $1,000 endowed scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman who strives for a CBA education.  The completed scholarship includes an essay and evidence of financial need.

    This scholarship will be applied only in the 2019/ 2020 school year.
