So many of our clubs & activities were on display

So many of our clubs & activities were on display this morning during our Enrichment Fair!

The underclassmen were encouraged to visit two or more clubs during the 40-minute period, while our upperclassmen delivered quick info sessions about their particular club. We had chess, performing arts, yearbook, Project GROVE, health professionals, scrabble, pipes & drums, and so much more!

There are well over 50 clubs and activities to get involved in at the Academy. Our Enrichment Period happens most Wednesday mornings to give students a chance to experience different extracurriculars within the school day schedule.

For the first time this year, each grade level has the opportunity to take a visual arts class! From Mrs. Frazier’s Freshman Visual Arts Class to Mr. Hiler’s Basic Drawings Class, we are already seeing some incredible work after just one week of classes!

In their first few sessions, the upperclassmen used the beautiful weather to sketch campus landscapes, while the freshmen practiced training their eyes in the classroom.

Our visual arts offerings will be on display at our Open Houses next month, so be sure to check them out!

On September 14, 1959, Christian Brothers Academy

On September 14, 1959, Christian Brothers Academy welcomed its very first class of students to campus for the first day of school.

Six Brothers - led by Principal Brother Bernard McKenna - taught the initial courses for 144 freshmen boys in Henderson Hall, which served as the central hub for the school until the main building was finished in 1961.

Today, exactly 65 years later, our campus may look different, but the vision, mission and traditions developed by our first class remains rooted in the fabric of the Academy.

Our students, faculty, and staff hit the ground running as everyone reconnected and quickly capitalized on all our campus has to offer. There is plenty to be excited about… new classrooms and academic resources, new spaces for our seniors to access during their study periods, and plenty of new electives for the 2024/25 school year! Whether it’s athletics, studies, or the arts, there is something for everyone here in Lincroft.
