Academy Introduces ‘Service Challenge 65’ for 65th Anniversary Year
September 24, 2024
This year is a special one at Christian Brothers Academy as we celebrate our 65th anniversary.
For 65 years, CBA has been dedicated to forming young men of faith, character, and action. A key part of our Lasallian mission is the challenge to become other-centered, serving those most in need in our society, just as Saint John Baptist de La Salle did when he founded the Christian Brothers.
In honor of this milestone, we are excited to present Service Challenge 65. While each student is required to complete 15 to 20 hours of Christian Service each school year depending on grade level, this year we are challenging Academy men to aim even higher. We invite as many of students as possible to take part in completing 65 hours of service over the course of this school year – a powerful way to celebrate 65 years of CBA’s commitment to service and community.
This challenge gives students the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, while continuing CBA’s long-standing tradition of Lasallian service. Whether it is volunteering at local organizations, helping those in need in your community, or finding creative ways to serve, our students’ efforts will honor our 65-year legacy.
We are confident that many Academy men will rise to the occasion and we can’t wait to see the impact they make through service.
Students can speak with Mr. Meehan or Mr. Butler in the Mission & Ministry Office about service opportunities or visit the CBA Service Opportunities page, where students can find many organizations in need of assistance.
