#BECOMINGBROTHER DURING CHRISTIAN SERVICE WEEK

Brother Francis Eells, Vocation Recruiter for the DENA District of the Christian Brothers, visited the Academy today to speak with our seniors about vocation.

As part of the “Man In Black Tour,” Br. Eells, has been visiting ministries around the DENA (District of Eastern North America), talking to students about the Brothers and applying the principles they’ve learned in their Theology coursework.

This assembly comes as part of CBA’s celebration of Christian Service Week—which includes a renewed focus on our mission, vision, and core Lasallian values.

Without the Brothers of the Christian Schools, our Lasallian tradition would not exist.

From the Brothers of the Christian Schools DENA:

“Just as it was during the late 17th century, the Brothers continue to dedicate their entire lives to the ministry of teaching, to the students entrusted to their care, to each other, and (through all of these) to God.

For the Brothers, the ministry of education is the work of Jesus with the young people of today. Daily meditation, community prayer, liturgy and the life-giving support of religious community enable the Brothers to infuse the world of education and the young with the Gospel.”
