Full House for Mothers’ Club Casino Night

The fourth annual CBA Mothers’ Club Casino Night could be described as nothing less than a “full house.”

Ready to socialize and vie for a chance to win the evening’s prize offerings, over 300 CBA parents, alumni and friends packed Battleground Country Club last Saturday night for the Club’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

Casino Night featured an evening of three-card poker, blackjack, roulette, craps and several more games. Raffle tickets were won in lieu of cash for a chance to win amazing prizes that were generously donated by faithful CBA supporters.

Along with a dinner buffet and cocktails, guests were also treated to a performance from Skip Robinson ’10, a young Elvis impersonator. There was also a “wine wall” where each card from the deck guarantees the purchaser a surprise bottle of wine.

When the night was all said and done, the event raised over $50,000. The funds raised will be contributed to the Mothers’ Club scholarship donation, which assists current and future students.

In total, there are currently 220 CBA students who receive approximately $1.5 million in scholarships and financial aid. While guests tried their luck at these games of chance, they were helping CBA continue its tradition of providing the one-of-a-kind education to all who wish to attend. The CBA Mothers’ Club is especially grateful that their sons are benefiting from the excellent CBA education, and they are eager to help CBA extend this opportunity to young men that otherwise could not afford to attend.

The Academy and the Mothers’ Club extend a big thank you to all the event’s generous sponsors for making the night a tremendous success. You can see the full list of the night’s sponsors and donors here.
