CBA HOLDS FIRST CLASS REPRESENTATIVE DINNER
September 28, 2015
On Thursday, September 24, CBA hosted over 60 alumni for the first annual Class Representative Dinner in Alumni Hall. A few years in the making, the Class Rep Program is designed to promote alumni involvement in CBA events through constant contact with designated reps from each graduating year.
CBA President, Brother Frank Byrne, led the night off by explaining to the Reps in attendance why alumni involvement is so important to a school like CBA, where the brotherhood of being classmates lasts for life. After a few additional speakers, the Class Reps enjoyed a steak and fish dinner prepared by Dolly Sullivan’s catering service.
“If the evening was any indication, the Class Rep Program is going to be a slam dunk for CBA,” said Jason Lutz, Associate Director of Development. “It’s one thing if alums are hearing from Brother Frank or the CBA advancement staff, but it’s another if they hear directly from classmates they share a connection with. Especially at a school like CBA, being connected with classmates has a deeper meaning.”
The Class Rep Program will heavily promote the attendance of alumni at events such as the Hall of Fame Gala, special sporting events, networking nights and the June BBQ. All Class Reps have access to their own CBA email address and a database with their classmates’ names and email addresses on file.
The program is growing quickly, but the Reps could always use more help. Contact Jason Lutz at jason.lutz@cbalincroftnj.org to get involved with the Class Rep Program.
