CBA Hosts Notre Dame’s Hesburgh Lecture Series This Week

Christian Brothers Academy is pleased to be hosting the University of Notre Dame’s Hesburgh Lecture Series on Thursday, October 17th.

The event will take place in the Quinn Library at 7:30 p.m. The Notre Dame Club of the Jersey Shore extends a special invitation to the CBA community, including parents, current students and alumni. There will be an informal reception with light refreshments after the speaking portion.

The keynote speaker will be Professor Paul Bohn, who will speak on the topic of Precision Medicine. From Notre Dame’s invitation…

The era of personalized medicine is dawning—and we now have the tools to shape individualized health solutions. With sights set on treating diseases with personalized medication in the future, the group seeks out a way to identify diseases at the molecular level. With this information, personalized treatment will have the best chance at success, with lower trial-and-error rates and side effects and more precision.

Notre Dame’s bold vision for precision medicine moves beyond the state-of-the-art, taking an individual molecular snapshot, helping clinicians to provide the right treatment to the right person at the right time.

Precision Medicine is part of Notre Dame’s ADVANCED DIAGNOSTICS AND THERAPEUTICS whose researchers create and commercialize technologies that combat disease, promote health and safeguard the environment. AD&T connects researchers to physicians, hospitals, medical companies and clinical partners around the U.S.
