The era of personalized medicine is dawning—and we now have the tools to shape individualized health solutions. With sights set on treating diseases with personalized medication in the future, the group seeks out a way to identify diseases at the molecular level. With this information, personalized treatment will have the best chance at success, with lower trial-and-error rates and side effects and more precision.
Notre Dame’s bold vision for precision medicine moves beyond the state-of-the-art, taking an individual molecular snapshot, helping clinicians to provide the right treatment to the right person at the right time.
Precision Medicine is part of Notre Dame’s ADVANCED DIAGNOSTICS AND THERAPEUTICS whose researchers create and commercialize technologies that combat disease, promote health and safeguard the environment. AD&T connects researchers to physicians, hospitals, medical companies and clinical partners around the U.S.
