CHESS TEAM WINS TEAM, INDIVIDUAL NEW JERSEY STATE TITLES

The Chess Team took top honors this past Sunday at the The New Jersey Grade Championships, held at Brookdale Community College.
The 12th grade team of Luke Drennan, Daniel Giammanco, Chris Giordano and Chris Wall and Stephen Calandrino dominated the 12th grade division.
Individually, it was Luke Drennan who came out as the top 12th grader in the state. The Colts followed in epic fashion, with Gianmarco taking 3rd, Giordano for fourth 4th, Wall taking 5th, and Calandrino taking home 8th.
The 10th grade team of Daniel Draganoff, Marc Sorrentino, Michael Gilbride, Andrew Mullaghy, and Kenny Skelton won with an excellent last round, with strong individual showings as well (with Draganoff at 3rd, Sorrentino at 7th, and Kilbride at 10th.)
The 11th grade team of Tyler Gentile, Chris Zachariah and Nick Karris came in 2nd place. Individually, Gentile came in 9th place.
