Ferraro Brothers Featured in Asbury Park Press

At Christian Brothers Academy, giving back to the community is a staple among the student body. After all, each student averages around 100 hours of service per year, when just 50 hours are required.

However, Peter and Max Ferraro decided to go above and beyond in gratitude for their opportunity to attend CBA.

The brothers have started a campaign called “Brothers for Brothers,” which hopes to raise $100,000 for a military veteran’s son to receive a full scholarship to the Academy.

The Ferraro brothers chose a veteran’s son because of the scholarships they are personally receiving at CBA. They are the recipients of the Lt. Dennis Zilinski II Scholarship, in honor of the 2000 CBA graduate who was killed in action in Iraq. Zilinski’s parents, Dennis Sr. and Marion (pictured above with the Ferraro brothers), started the Lt. Zilinski Fund in hopes of bettering veterans’ lives when they returned home.

Peter, a junior, and Max, a freshman, were featured in the Asbury Park Press on Monday, December 4th. Read the rest of their story here…
