Footloose the Musical Debuts March 6th at the Academy

Closing out their 34th season, Pegasus Production Company presents Footloose, which will debut on Friday, March 6th in Henderson Theater.

Ren McCormack, a city kid from Chicago, arrives in the small town of Bomont and is instantly met with eyes watching his every move. Ever since a tragic event, Reverend Shaw Moore has banned dancing so that such a tragedy could never happen again. Ren challenges this law while making lots of friends, and a few enemies along the way. Follow Ren on this journey as he struggles to bring everyone together through his love of dance.

Performances of Footloose will be on March 6, 7, 13, 14 at 7 PM; March 8 at 2 PM; March 12 at 5 PM. The show on Friday, March 13th will be modified to be sensory-sensitive with reduced lighting and sound effects. The performance on Thursday, March 12th will be the SADD and Student Council sponsored Dinner and a Show. The dinner starts at 4 PM prior to the 5 PM show.

Tickets cost $10 for adults (over 16), $7 for children, and $5 for seniors and CBA students. Tickets can be purchased at cba.booktix.com or at the door. Pegasus Production Company is a student-run company, led by a Board of Directors consisting entirely of students. Each production features student created sets, costumes, and technical designs. The production is overseen by director and CBA alumnus Marcos Orozco, Assistant Director/Choreographer Christina Rak, Music Director Christian Lopez, and Costumer Therese Heidelberger.
