Mothers’ Club Raises Scholarship Funds with Annual Luncheon
October 31, 2019
The Christian Brothers Academy Mothers’ Club continued their proud tradition of giving back to the Academy at their annual Fall Luncheon fundraiser on Sunday, October 27th.
This year’s luncheon at Shore Casino in Atlantic Highlands, dubbed “Under the Tuscan Sun,” saw 564 guests in attendance. They enjoyed a terrific lunch and a gift raffle with items from generous individuals and companies.
“A very special thank you goes to Mary Ann Dooling and Stacey Krall for their leadership and their tireless efforts in making this day so fabulous,” said Beth Caruso, Mothers’ Club president. “Thank you to all the committee members who work diligently behind the scenes for months leading up to this amazing day. We cannot begin to tell you how grateful we are that you are here supporting our fundraising efforts for CBA.”
All of the funds raised by the Mothers’ Club go directly towards assisting the financial aid and scholarships awarded by the Academy. Each event that the Mothers’ Club hosts contributes to the end-of-year total that they present the school. Last year, the club raised over $175,000 for CBA.
The Mothers’ Club will now turn their attention towards one of their biggest fundraising events of the school year, Casino Night, which takes place on January 25th at Battleground Country Club. Casino Night features a night of three-card poker, blackjack, roulette, craps and several more games. Raffle tickets are won in lieu of cash for a chance to win amazing prizes that are generously donated by faithful CBA supporters. In addition, there is live entertainment, cocktails and a dinner buffet.
