A NIGHT IN SUPPORT OF SCHOLARSHIP

Earlier this month, Christian Brothers Academy hosted its annual Scholarship Reception, a unique chance for those students who earned school scholarships to meet the generous donors behind them. Over 120 attendees gathered in the Quinn Library to recognize the incoming freshmen and current students accepting awards.
“These scholarships are vital to continuing the mission of CBA,” said Christian Brothers Academy principal Ross Fales. Mr. Fales recognized the commitment of this year’s donors, many of whom are alumni, and their continued commitment to the values they learned during their time at Christian Brothers Academy.

“It has always been the mission of the brothers since the day we were founded that no student be turned away on the basis of financials alone,” said Academy president Br. Frank Byrne, FSC. “Thank you to the donors that are helping to make that dream a reality.”

Over 70 separate scholarships, combining for a total of just over $1 million, were awarded to incoming freshmen and current Academy students to help fund their CBA education. These scholarships are in addition to the over $800,000 in financial aid awarded annually by the Academy to nearly 140 students.
“This is a celebration of excellence, and you should all be very proud of your accomplishments,” said William Attardi, Director of Advancement.
