Pipes & Drums Kicks Off St. Patrick’s Day Parade Season

The Christian Brothers Academy Pipes & Drums Band kicked off the St. Patrick’s Day season, and their March slate of performances, with the Belmar Parade on Sunday, March 3rd.

A resounding 30 students performed in the parade for CBA, led by Pipe Major Chris Wright and Drum Sergeant Andrew Campi. Eleven students made their debut for the band on Sunday.

The month of March is very much what the Pipes & Drums Band prepares for all year long. With their reputation continuing to grow around the Jersey Shore, CBA is highly sought after to perform in a variety St. Patrick’s Day events.

With President Br. Frank Byrne advising and playing with the students, CBA’s Pipes & Drums Band is one of the few high school pipe bands in the nation. With the goal of providing students with high-quality instruction, the band meets weekly during the school year and three times per week during the February & March performance season.

Come out to one of the following parades to give them a listen:

  • March 8: Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Dinner in Spring Lake
  • March 10: Rumson St. Patrick Parade
  • March 16: South Amboy Parade & Little Silver St. Patrick Firehouse Party

  • March 19: Fair Haven Community Center
