SADD “DINNER FOR THE TROOPS” RAISES OVER $6,500

Yet again, SADD has raised the bar for a successful turnout during its annual “Pasta Dinner for the Troops” held on Tuesday, December 8. Through the hard work of students and the generosity of the community, the event raised $6,680 to benefit our troops overseas.

The Christian Brothers Academy chapter of SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) also drew 220 attendees for its 9th year.
The cause and turnout gained post coverage from several sources:
About The Event
The Pasta Dinner is held each year in honor of LT Dennis W. Zilinski II ’00, a CBA and West Point graduate who was killed in action in Iraq in 2005. The event, in collaboration with MAST & Trinity Hall’s SADD chapters, and under the supervision of SADD faculty moderator Mr. Frake, was completely student-run. The CBA Mother’s Club as well as Angelo’s Pizza in Lincroft donated their time and much-needed supplies to help make this event possible.

Proceeds from the dinner will be used to purchase much-needed supplies for donation to our servicemen and servicewomen stationed overseas during the holiday season.
