It has truly been a banner few months for CBA’s Modern Band.

In the very first year of the course, this contemporary music offering has received plenty of buzz around campus. The group of talented musicians have taken advantage of their ability to meet as a class during the school day, producing some terrific pieces and gaining valuable guidance from our music teachers.

Better yet, three of the program’s students – Nick Buchanan ’25, JP Shimkus ’25 and Ryder Solomon ’25 – were selected as All-State Modern Band participants this winter. The honor recently gave these seniors a chance to play with musicians from across the state in Atlantic City.
