TYING THEIR COMMITMENT: JUNIOR TIE CEREMONY SIGNALS UPPERCLASSMEN TRANSITION

Each year, the junior class at Christian Brothers Academy gathers together for a special ceremony, one that signals the boys’ transition to upperclassmen.

On Wednesday, the Class of 2018 was presented with their customized neckties at the Junior Tie Ceremony.

Throughout the ceremony, Academy men were reminded of their commitment to completing their four year journey at CBA. Guest speaker Mr. Tim Dowd, the CBA English Department’s chairman, spoke to the students about how they should not take for granted the special opportunity each of the boys have at CBA.

Father John Zec blessed each of the neckties before President Brother Frank Byrne and Principal Ross Fales presented each junior class member with a tie, which is embroidered with “Class of 2018.”

The junior class, with their parents and loved ones, enjoyed a special luncheon after the ceremony concluded.

Congratulations to the Class of 2018 for this special accomplishment!
