The French Club is a Francophile organization dedicated to providing members with many cultural activities outside the classroom. Established in 1989, the club takes part in numerous activities, including watching French films; celebrating holidays; playing soccer games against the Spanish, Italian and Latin Clubs; playing French Jeopardy and Scrabble; sampling French foods and embarking on trips to France/Québec.
The club meets 2-3 times per month. Officers are elected by the students. Members must attend at least half of all meetings to be considered a member in good standing. World languages teacher Mr. Broehl is in his fourth year as club moderator.
All students, not only those taking French or who are French Honor Society members, but those who are interested in something new, are more than welcome to join.
