The Colt PLUS program is designed for highly motivated students with the cognitive ability to adhere to a college preparatory curriculum, but have educational needs that can make it difficult for them to achieve their potential without support.
Students in the PLUS program take all the same classes as CBA students without modifications, although certain accommodations may be implemented through a 504 Plan. Homework load is not decreased nor is the curriculum altered. Students will take a portion of a core credit course during the school year as part of the daily class with the Learning Consultant and complete it during the following summer. This allows time for strategic instruction and support. The summer portion of this program is a required, essential element in the students’ progress.
What type of student is a candidate for the PLUS program?
