Is the St. Benilde Program the right fit for you?
Ideal candidates for the St. Benilde Program are those who struggle in the area of literacy who may or may not have a diagnosed learning disability or other learning difference which interferes with their learning.
Students in the St. Benilde Program participate in an English I Class as freshmen and English II Class as sophomores utilizing the College Prep English Curriculum taught at a slower pace to incorporate learning strategies.
This class will extend 15 extra days with 1.5 hour classes each day immediately after the school year ends in order to finish the entire college preparatory English curriculum
Note-taking, time management, organization, study skills, test taking strategies, and self-advocacy are just some of the learning strategies that students will learn to use to benefit their learning not only in their English class, but across the curriculum.
Reading and writing strategies are a focus of skill development within the English class
In addition to class instruction, students enrolled in the St. Benilde Program will meet once every 6 day cycle with their teacher in a 1:1 or 3:1 ratio
Extra Help
