The Academy Torch Debuts New Layout, Editorial Team

The Academy Torch, the long-running student postpaper of Christian Brothers Academy, underwent an impressive makeover this summer.

The Torch, which last year featured just black and white print, debuted its colorful, vibrant new layout last week as the first 2017-18 edition dropped in homerooms.

Under the direction of moderator and English teacher, Ms. Morgan Biloholowski, the new editorial team worked tirelessly to improve the paper and create stories that CBA students crave. Some stories from the November edition include an introduction to new Dean of Students, Mr. Matt Meehan, background on the re-purposing of Henderson Hall, highlights of the new enrichment period, and the cover story, “Race and Professional Sports.”

The 2017-18 content editorial team includes seniors Joseph Broehl, Jack Butterfield, Jack Coleman, Quinn Kiernan, Robert Joseph Sandbach and junior Matthew Vaccaro. Aidan Broderick serves as the photography editor on staff.
