JERSEY MIKE’S MARKETING DIRECTOR VISITS CBA FBLA CHAPTER

Sometimes not getting what you want can be the best thing that happens to you.

Such was the case for Jeff Hemschoot, Marketing Director for Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems who spoke with students at Christian Brothers Academy’s chapter of FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America.)

Hemschoot explained the history, marketing strategy, and his own career path in a presentation to nearly 50 members of CBA’s FBLA chapter. Earlier in his career, Hemschoot made the decision not to continue pursuing a career in sports marketing, which ultimately became the catalyst for something great.
He landed an interview with Jersey Mike’s after applying through CareerBuilder.com. Now working directly with the CMO as well as Jersey Mike’s CEO, Peter Cancro, Hemschoot helps lead the marketing efforts of a fast-growing, international brand based right here in New Jersey.
Hemschoot explained how Jersey Mike’s creates a mix of marketing tactics to build customer loyalty, create brand affinity, and promote a consistent and authentic product across the country and internationally.Students learned just what a franchise marketing plan looks like, and what challenges and triumphs can come from a quickly-growing business.

A special thank you to FBLA VP, Hunter Connellan for a great use of networking to help make this event possible.
