Pegasus Productions Celebrates 10th Annual Pony Awards
April 18, 2023
After two outstanding performances this school year, Pegasus Production Company held its 10th annual Pony Awards earlier in April.
“The Ponies” are a celebration of the cast, crew, student board and faculty advisors that produced Rumors in November and Godspell in March.
The Pony Awards feature the announcement of 14 different honors, including for lead roles, supporting roles, singing, dancing and crew work. Produced in Henderson Theater, the night also includes hosts and short performances, much like the professional Tony Awards. This year’s show was hosted by senior Sam Ferro and junior James Nardiello.
“Every student that received a nomination should be very proud of themselves,” said Mr. Marcos Orozco ’01, director of Pegasus Production Company. “There is not a single nominee that the adult staff feels is undeserving. James and Sam started the year with the idea that this was going to be a night unlike any other award show. They went above and beyond expectations as they created not just an award show, but an entire story filled with laughter and memorable moments.”
The 14 awards were given to both CBA students and their female counterparts that are members of the company.
“This year, we put on two truly fantastic shows, branched out by partaking in competition at the New Jersey Thespian Festival, worked very closely with our amazing music department, and truly made an amazing family,” Nardiello said. “Not only was this award show amazing, but it was an awards show written and performed by students, for students. The connection between each member of Pegasus runs deep and I could not ask for a better family.”
Congratulations to the winners at the 10th annual Pony Awards…
