Peter Lyden ’75 Begins as Director of Alumni Relations

Christian Brothers Academy is pleased to welcome Peter Lyden ’75 as the new Director of Alumni Relations.

Lyden takes over for longtime alumni director Pat McGann ’71, who retired last month after nearly 30 years at CBA.

The Class of 1975 graduate is tasked with keeping over 11,000 alumni connected with the Academy and organizing alumni-related events throughout the year.

“Taking the role of Director of Alumni Relations feels like coming home,” Lyden said. “Like so many graduates I’ve encountered over the years, my time here was seminal to my personal, ethical, and professional development. I hope to build and expand upon the foundation laid by Pat McGann, especially by fully engaging our 21st century grads into the fabric of the alumni community.”

Lyden has a long list of experience in both public relations, journalism, and education. He most recently was a high school history teacher, while also logging time as radio producer, healthcare public relations executive, telecommunications lobbyist and contract negotiator, and public information officer for a New Jersey State Cabinet office.

After graduating from CBA, Lyden attended Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
