Student Body Delivers Big During Thanksgiving Food Drive
November 23, 2022
Each and every Thanksgiving season, the CBA student body delivers.
Once again, Campus Ministry’s Thanksgiving Food Drive will help thousands of people in the local area get the essential nutrition and toiletry items that CBA students may take for granted. The initiative saw nearly 40,000 items donated, much of which has already been distributed six locations across the Jersey Shore.
For approximately 23 days from the end of October to just before Thanksgiving break, the student body is encouraged to contribute non-perishable food items, bottled water, and hygiene and baby products.
Before the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, the student body gathered for the Thanksgiving Prayer Service to reflect on the true meaning of the holiday. In what has become a tradition, students and teachers presented offerings of items that the CBA community is thankful for.
A teacher and student offered a basket of food for the gift of family. Two teachers brought textbooks and a laptop for the gift of the CBA faculty and staff. Brother Tim Ahern presented a Lasallian icon for the gift of our Lasallian family. Teachers and students offered a musical instrument, athletic jersey, and a theater playbill for the gift of our students’ talents. Finally, a teacher and student brought up a candle and crucifix for God’s providence and the gift of faith.
During the final stretch of the Food Drive, the CBA Digital Network produced the video below to reaffirm the mission of this annual initiative.
