Tom Mulligan

Tom Mulligan spent his first 25 years developing athletes at the sub-varsity level, helping support the efforts that have made CBA Soccer a top state competitor every year. Over the past 8 years as the Varsity coach, he has continued the tradition. Now in his 32nd year teaching science at CBA, Mulligan has been helping develop students for generations.

Mulligan’s soccer roots run deep. As a 1983 graduate of the Academy, Mulligan played under hall of fame legendary coach Dan Keane, first as a junior and then as a captain his senior year. After graduating, he went on to excel at the collegiate level, being named captain, MVP, and an all-conference selection while at Drew University from 1984-87.

Coach Mulligan has led the Colts to the 2016, 2021, 2022 and 2023 Shore Conference Titles; NJSIAA Sectional Titles in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023; State Championship Non-Public A Titles in 2016, 2018, and 2022, NJ.COM Ranking #1 in 2016 & 2022, 2021 #2, 2018 & 2023 #3. His 8 year varsity record stands at 145-18-6. USA National Rank #12 in 2016 & 2022.  He was honored as the 2023 South Jersey Parochial Coach of the Year. In 2022, Coach Mulligan was named the Shore Sports Network Coach of the Year, State Coaches Association of New Jersey Coach of the Year and in the Boys Fall East Private/Parochial-School classification, 2022 High School Coach of the Year by the United Soccer Coaches of America
