The Christian Brothers Academy Hall of Fame inductees for 2020 had to wait a bit longer than most to receive their honor.
Originally to be held in March 2020, the Alumni Association hosted the Hall of Fame Gala on September 18 to finally induct eight honorees and two athletic teams.
“Congratulations to all of the new inductees to the Christian Brothers Academy Hall of Fame,” said Hall of Fame Chairman Bob Lutkewitte ’82 said. “Thanks for hanging in there through all of the pandemic delays and we are so pleased to be able to finally honor you all appropriately.”
The 2020 class features individuals that have made an impact in many areas of the CBA community, including in the classroom, as great athletic teams, as accomplished businessmen, and important Academy benefactors and supporters.

The CBA Hall of Fame was born out of the Alumni Association Awards, beginning in 2013. In each year since, multiple accomplished CBA community members have been honored, along with championship athletics teams, at the annual Gala. All Alumni Association award winners through 2012 were inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2013.
“Paul Molzon ’72 did a terrific job as Master of Ceremonies,” Lutkewitte said. “Many thanks to all who worked so hard to make this wonderful event so successful, including Rita Reilly, Pete Lyden ’75, and most especially, Pat McGann ’71 who has been instrumental in making these first six Galas happen, setting our path forward with future galas.”
The most recent inductees are prominently displayed outside of Alumni Hall at CBA, while all the inductees are honored on a display within Alumni Hall. See a list of all Hall of Fame inductees here.
