The scholarships below are available for the 2023-2024 school year. We invite you to click on the categories to learn more and determine which scholarships you may be eligible for. Please read the criteria fully to determine if you may be eligible before applying. A student may apply for as many scholarships as he chooses and for which he is eligible, but no student will be awarded more than one applicable scholarship. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
General Instructions for Applying
You may apply for the scholarships in the categories below by sending an email indicting your interest and attaching the required essay to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org.
All supplemental materials (letters of recommendation, proof of service, portfolio materials, and performance videos) must be emailed to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org with the applicants last name and names of scholarships being applied for in the subject line. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Letters of recommendation and proof of service must come directly from the person providing the recommendation or the proof of service.
Please carefully read the criteria for each scholarship to determine your eligibility.
Eligibility: Rising sophomores (Class of 2026) for the 2023/2024 school year
APPLICATION PERIOD OPENS FEBRUARY 15, 2023 AND CLOSES APRIL 1, 2023.
The Michael J. Horowitz ’81 Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established by his parents, Michael and Lucille Horowitz in honor of his memory and legacy. Applicants must be current freshmen at CBA who would receive the scholarship beginning with their sophomore year.
In order to be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following basic criteria:
Required Essay (500 word limit):
Reflecting on the experiences which have had an impact on your life, provide one to three unique pieces of advice for the incoming freshmen which would help to maximize their CBA experience.
This $5,000 scholarship will be renewed in the recipients junior and senior years as long as he maintains a cumulative GPA of a 90.
Eligibility: Rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors in the 2023/2024 school year
APPLICATION PERIOD OPENS FEBRUARY 15, 2023 AND CLOSES APRIL 1, 2023.
Founded in the memory of Brother Peter Mannion, this $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student currently enrolled at CBA who has demonstrated superior Christian leadership inside and outside of the CBA community. The completed application includes an essay, documented evidence of Christian leadership inside and outside the CBA community, and documented evidence of financial need.
Required Essay (500 word limit):
This scholarship is awarded for “Christian Leadership.” Based on your relevant experiences, how do you define the term “Christian Leader” and why do you consider yourself to be one?

Please have a letter(s) verifying your involvement in Christian leadership sent to scholarships@cbalincroftnj.org. This letter must be sent directly by the person providing the evidence; the title of this file should include the applicant’s last name and “Leadership.”
This scholarship will be applied only in the 2023/2024 school year.

The Ronald Nicholas Marullo ’87 Memorial Scholarship
Founded by his parents, Domenica Donna Como and Ronald P. Marullo, and his brothers, Jerome and Brad Marullo, this $2,500 scholarship in loving memory of Ronald Nicholas Marullo ’87 will be awarded to a student who has an immediate family member affected by cancer. Preference will be given to a student with a documented love of animals or talent in the arts. The completed application requires an essay.
This scholarship will be applied only in the 2023/2024 school year.
Required Essay (500 word limit):

Relate the significance of one of these quotes to your life so far.

The Zilinski Memorial Scholarships honor the memory of Dennis W. Zilinski II ’00 (U.S. Military Academy ’04) who was killed in action in Iraq in 2005. The Lt. Dennis Zilinski Foundation and Memorial Fund selects and awards six $3,500 scholarships annually to CBA students who, through creatively designed projects, bring awareness of the value of military service to the CBA community.
These $3,500 scholarships will be applied only in the 2023/2024 school year, but awardees are encouraged to reapply in subsequent years.
Eligibility: Rising senior in the 2023/2024 school year
A one-time $1,000 award to be applied to the recipient’s senior year tuition.
Established by established by Bill ’75 and Liz Moss, along with classmates and friends of Brother Frank, this award honors the top theology student in the junior class.
Eligibility: Rising senior in the 2023/2024 school year
Established in the memory of Beauvais and Bernardine Duffy by their son, Sean ’70 to honor the top Spanish student in the Junior class.
A one-time $3,000 award to be applied to the recipient’s senior year tuition.
Eligibility: Rising senior in the 2023/2024 school year
Established in memory of Gerald V. Ceres ’03 to honor the top physics student in the junior class.
A one-time $2,000 award to be applied to the recipient’s senior year tuition.
Eligibility: Rising senior in the 2023/2024 school year
Established in memory of Frank Bulzis (CBA math teacher 2003-2012) to honor the top math student in the junior class.
A one-time $1,000 award to be applied to the recipient’s senior year tuition.
Eligibility: Rising senior in the 2023/2024 school year
Established by Joseph Castle ‘90 to honor the top history student in the senior class.
A one-time $1,000 award to be applied to the recipient’s senior year tuition.
Eligibility: Rising senior in the 2023/2024 school year
Established by John and Carol DeMuria to honor the top English student in the senior class.
A one-time $1,000 award to be applied to the recipient’s senior year tuition.
